Kopi was born in Greece and came to America when he was 3 years old. He was good at rowing! He was involved in theater from elementary school and was Varsity Cheerleader at Fresno High School. He could have played all sports, but took Cheerleading so seriously, he considered it as a possible career. When his custom made pom poms were stolen, he was devastated and just couldn't go on. That's when he changed his career goal to broadcasting.

After graduating from San Francisco State he went to work at KMPH TV in Visalia. From there he went to Hollywood and acted with Jack Nicholson, Eddie Murphy (Beverly Hills Cop II), David Letterman, Gena Davis, Mary Tyler Moore, Michael Keaton, David Hasselhoff (Knightrider), Don Knotts (Three's Company), Bill Bixby (The Incredible Hulk), Michael Landon (Highway To Heaven), David Jansen, Linda Evans ect., ect. After all the Hollywood stars had a chance to work with Kopi, he felt he had done enough for their careers, he came back to KMPH and became the Weather guy for the 10 O'clock News. He is now co-anchoring and doing weather for GREAT DAY on KMPH FOX 26.
